Mark Bennett founded Art of Fitness in 1999
Mark currently is a 5th Dan in Ju-Jitsu but has studied many other styles of martial arts that compliment ju-jitsu such as Kali, Silat, Bagua, tai chi, kung Fu, Filipino martial arts to name a few.
Ju-Jitsu is the original mixed martial art. It teaches techniques that involve all aspects of combat, which include sparring, throwing and grappling.
During 2008 a small team from Art of Fitness took on their first cage fight. This has lead on to a full fight team with fighters going on to fight for titles, a new timetable with specific classes aimed at training for the MMA cage fights, a refurbished Dojo and padded area for cage techniques and the re branding of the club to AOF MMA.

Whether you just want to get fit and learn to defend yourself or try your chances in the cage as a pro fighter AOF MMA has classes to suit all abilities. There are kids classes that start from 4 years (as long as the child has started school) 12 years and the adult class will take teenagers from 13 years. If you just wish to get fit there is a pad blast circuit training, which will give you a fitness work out whist giving you the confidence to hit and strike correctly.

Art of Fitness is now offering lessons in aerial skills. We currently have hoops and silks avaialble. You don't need to have had any experiance to come for lessons and all ages shapes and sizes are welcome. For more information please click here
